Puffles GALORE!

Sorry guys. I'm going to post about puffles 'cuz they are my main thoughts right now. 

The annual Puffle Party that happens on Club Penguin every February or March started yesterday with one big change: We got a puffle hotel, with comes equipped with an awesome lobby and a second floor gym and spa. The rooftop pool came with a restaurant (for puffles) and some chairs to sleep in. The reason this hotel was built? Rainbow puffles, which I'll tell you about in a minute.

The rest of the party is like it was last year: AWESOME! The puffle rooms haven't changed, and members can go to the Puffle Play Zone and turn into puffles! The puffles have completely taken over the island! Another cool thing about this party is the fact that if you're lucky, you can meet PH, the puffle handler. I haven't yet though I want to.

So  I mentioned rainbow puffles briefly in my last post, so I KNOW you've just been DYING with anticipation to learn about them. That's the problem though. The members have to go on this 'quest' to see if they can take care of puffles well enough, especially with help from the puffle hotel. So I logged in yesterday, excited to get my rainbow puffle. Excitedly, I went to the puffle hotel and looked at it in all its glory, then started my 'quest'. The first task was to exercise my puffle, so I went to my igloo, clicked on the first puffle I saw and walked him back to the hotel. I went to the second story of the hotel, the gym and spa. I went over to a treadmill, and let my puffle hop on it until a thing popped up telling me I had gotten the task. I got my free items for finishing my task (350 coins and part of a 'puffle master' outfit) and was ready to start the next one. After all, there were 3 rainbow puffles up there WAITING for me to come get them! Instead, do you know what it said???? It said "Next task will be ready in 18 hours." DID YOU HEAR THAT??? 18 HOURS!  

Sooo...... eighteen hours from 10:00 a.m is 4:00 a.m. 4:03, to be exact. So do you want to know what I did? I set my alarm for 4:10 this morning, woke up then, (with Mom's permission..and laptop, though she thinks I'm nuts) and lo and behold! The next task was ready. Can you guess what it was? Yeah. Take your puffle to the spa. (That took me 5 seconds: 3 to get a puffle from my igloo and 2 to actually do the task.) Then I went back to sleep. Tonight at 10, when my next task is ready, I'll log on, do the task (probably 'feed your puffle'), get my reward, and log off. Then I'll wait for tomorrow afternoon at 4:00: My last task will be ready and I'll be able to get my three rainbow puffles. One named Promise, one named Brill, and one named Skittles.  At least, that's my plan.


After all that, the only thing I know about rainbow puffles is that I don't have one yet.

Anyway, I've decided that until I find out what personality the rainbow puffle has, I'm totally a green puffle (with some yellow and red mixed in). My stuffed green puffle Propeller is being carted around with me EVERYWHERE (and he's loving it!). In fact, he especially loves it when I read Monster in the Hollows to Mom and my brother! (Ha. Ha. Ha.) But I still think I'm 1/2 green puffle, 1/4 red and 1/4 yellow, with a hint of others mixed in.

Second puffle-ish thing: So obviously, I love puffles. Right now, I'm super into blue puffles, but last week it was brown and next week, it may be orange for all I know! But I have to distribute my love on all my puffles, so I came up with a solution. If you have this problem, read on!

The way to fix this problem is to do something called puffle of the day. How it works is you line up all your puffles somewhere where you can see them all, close your eyes and point to one. Whoever your finger lands on, you then take them around with you all day, wherever you go. Pretty simple, right?Another variation of that would be to put all your puffles' names on little pieces of paper and draw one each day.

My Cookie Monster

     Ok, so you might be thinking that I've gone nuts from the title of this post. But I haven't!

     Cookie Monster is an orange puffle! His full name is Cookie Monster, but everyone calls him Cookie. On the day I got him in San Antonio, May 18, 2011, he was very hyper, and didn't know much. Here is a conversation between us when we passed Mustang's house on the way home.

"Say hi to Mustang!" Nana said
"Hi to Mustang! Who's that?" Cookie immediately replied.
"My best friend." I answered.
"Oh! Do I get to meet her? When?"
"Yes, Cookie, you will meet her tomorrow."
"Oh. When's that?"
"When the sun-"
"What's THAT? The sun?"
"The bright thing."
"Oh."
"When it goes away and the sky-"
"What's the sky?"
"The big thing in the air."
"Oh."
"When the sky turns black."
"What is black?"
"The color of the road." I reply showing him the pavement.
"Oh! So we get to drive in the sky?"
"No, just the color is the same."
"Aw, man!"

Next day:
"So do I get to meet her right now? Huh?" Cookie is very impatient.
"No, in a couple of hours."
"What are hours?"
"You see the clock?"
"Yeah...."
"You see that it says 9:59?"
"Uh-huh...."
"Keep watching.."
"Wow! It changed! Now it says 10:00!"
"Yes. An hour is 60 minutes, and when it is 12:00, we will go to Mustang's house and you will meet her."
"Yeah!!!"

      So, as you can see, he is very inquisitive. He has learned, in his one year, a lot, like the meaning of 'ice cream'.
"Ice cream? NUMMY!"
 Darn! He heard me say i-c-e c-r-e-a-m! Anyway, he has also learned all about trees: "Trees are high. They taste like a piece of wood, and climbing one is really scary. Unless you are promised ice cream. Then, climb the tree at all possible chances! ICE CREAM!!!!!"

     He has learned about spy phones, and how to change the "Please leave message after the beep" yadda yadda. " BEEP! If you want me to eat the phone, press 1. If you want me to eat the phone, press 2. If you want me to eat the phone, press 3. If you want me to eat the phone, press 4. If you want me to eat the phone, press 5. If you want me to eat the phone, press 6. If you want me to eat the phone, press 7. If you want me to eat the phone, press 8. If you want me to eat the phone, press 9. If you want me to the phone AND a bowl of ice cream, press 0. If you don't want me to eat the phone, tough luck."

     He has learned about other puffles: "They are good playmates, but one of them told me that the entire universe is not only food! I still don't believe him."

     He is SO silly! But I wouldn't trade him for anyone!
