So you might be wondering why I haven't posted in a while; so I will answer that question for you now.
We went on vacation last Wednesday (the day after the first Co-op!) and only came home on Monday (the day before Co-op #2!). We didn't go out of this state, just up to Waco and Brenham.
Luckily, Mom and Dad let us go check out IKEA!!! I
adore that place!!!!!!!
We went to Waco first and only got there in enough time to check into our hotel, go eat, and come back, but on the way to restaurant, I saw something beautiful. A TOYS "R" US!!!!!!! So I was thrilled, and I ate the best burger on the planet.
The next day, Thursday, we went to a place called Homestead Heritage. It was a working farm that fashioned like from the old days! It was super cool, but I didn't like one little itsy-bitsy thing. THEY DIDN"T HAVE ANY HORSES! But, I got an awesome pillowcase, and we got to see all kinds of cool stuff.
After we ate lunch at the Homestead Heritage, we headed back to Waco and went to the Dr. Pepper museum, which was really cool (even though I'm not a major fan of Dr. Pepper). We got to see how it originated, and, as it turns out, I can find a horse ANYWHERE (except Homestead Heritage)!! There was a horse made completely out of old cans, lids, and other trash. It was pretty cool!
After we finished there, we went on to the Texas Ranger museum. That had all sorts of cool stuff about the Texas Rangers. We saw some things about the Texas Rangers, some cool swords, saddles, and..... HORSES!!! There was an awesome taxidermy white horse that was super cool. Then we went into the gift shop and saw an awesome picture that looked familiar ........ I scanned my memory and realized it looked like one from a Cloud (you'll probably hear more about him in a later post) movie.
After that, I was dying to go to Toys R Us. We ate a long supper ( I'm sure Mom and Dad were trying to torture me!) then...... We got in the car.... And promptly got completely lost. Finally we found where we were going, and I practically flew to the door. I zipped in, then asked somebody where the Club Penguin stuff was. I was almost pulling Mom along, and we
FINALLY got to where they were.
I gasped when I saw them. It was CP lover heaven! Giant puffles, regular puffles, three pack penguins, a three pack of puffles, clippie puffles, penguins.....It was AWESOME!! I went to see what color clippies they had. They had pink, which I already have, and red, which I already don't have. I picked a red one up and price checked. He was 4 bucks! I grabbed him. I nosed around in the back, trying to find some more puffles, when I saw green fluffy hair, brown fluffy hair, and blue fluffy hair lined up together. My breath caught in my throat and my heart started beating faster. I, in slow motion, reached back and pulled up on the blue hair, because it was in the middle. I was ecstatic when the three rose together. That meant it was a three puffle pack!!! I bought it, thrilled. Now I have 29 puffles, 8 clippies, and three brown puffles, two green, and 4 blue, not including clippies.
The next day, Friday, we went to the Mayborne Museum. It was a natural history museum that had all sorts of awesome stuff, like some Indian stuff, some stuff about the wooly mammoth and how they died, and some other stuff.
We left Waco to go to Brenham after the Mayborne Museum. There, we pretty much hung out at the hotel till Saturday. Then we went to Washington-on-the-Brazos, a history of Texas type place. We watched a historical reenactment of the Alamo, watched the men shoot some guns and cannons, and then hopped over to the farm part of THAT. They had some hogs, cows and cock-a-doodle-doos, but STILL NO HORSES. Oh well.
The day after that, Sunday, we went to the Reinasance Festival. IT WAS TOTALLY AWESOME!!!!!! It was really family oriented, and really cool. We wandered around looking at some stores, then we went to a dog show. That was cool and funny. I even got ' plundered' by the dog, Kharma. Then we wandered over to the next part and watched another show. It was a guy named Madman Maverick, and he was HILARIOUS!!!! After that we wandered around, went in more shops, bought Creator's Son a hat, watched jousting, ate, and all sorts of cool stuff. In one store where they were selling knives and swords, I almost bought a short sword for 15 bucks, but instead bought a thing for my hair.
All in all, that was an awesome trip and I loved it. I bought some new books, new puffles, and was ready to come HOME. Oh yeah, and, if you've seen commercials for The Lorax and think it would be funny, you are correct. It is REALLY funny.
