Goats are HILARIOUS!!!
This morning while Boonie Mom was checking E-Mail, she called Creator's Son and I over. It was a video of hilarious baby goats playing to the tune of 'Jingle Bells'. It was super funny. It is amazing what goats do!
That got me thinking about Mustang's goats. Her littlest ones have gotten pretty well grown, and Trixie loves herding the goats up! The goats run from the scary horse, and Trixie loves chasing them up and down and back and forth across her pasture.
Anyway, we found out that they have a website... and DVDs you can buy. It is hilarious. and I wouldn't want you to miss out on this. It is hilarious!
And they are even worried about the children's safety! (human, this time:D) If you click on 'behind the scenes", they have a note : Please tell your child that they should not butt their heads together like the goats.
It is worth taking the time to watch, and they have the goats playing to different tunes, too.
They show the goats playing with their camera men, and tell about that and all. Take the time to read and watch practically everything, even the 'Cast' video.
I promise you will get your laugh for the morning!

Techa and Blaze
Continued from "A Midnight Visitor"
"Now what?" Annie asked Josh.
"Well, I think we better give them some food-"
"FOOD!!!!!" They heard from the kitchen. A millisecond later, a red blur came at a zillion miles per hour and hit Josh in this stomach.
"Mom and Dad aren't up yet, so we usually don't go outside, but they would go crazy if they found out we now have dragons. We could take them fishing at our pier!" Annie said, having a great idea. "Then we could take them to the island, if they promised not to tear the tree house down."
Josh nodded, and the twins slipped outside, dragons in tow.
On the pier, Josh explained how to fish.
" First, you see those shadows? Those are fish. They taste good. Try grabbing one with your claw," he told the two.
Techa, Annie's green dragon, caught a fish first try. He ate it, his eyes widened, and, dunking himself in again, went crazy for fish.
Blaze, Josh's red dragon, did just about the same.
"Come on!" Annie called. "Time to take them to the island!"
She ran through over growth until she reached a wall of leaves. She gently pressed through, and came onto an island, surrounded by water.
She let Techa choose which of the five spots he wanted. He chose the one in the middle, and then asked, "Fishies? Me eat?"
"Yes, Techa, you can eat the fish"
"Rawr!!!!!!!" Annie heard a splash, and a couple seconds later, a "Nummy food!"
"Now what?" Annie asked Josh.

The Midnight Visitor
Every once in awhile, I will post random stories. This is one.
Annie woke with a gasp. Was the scuffling noise she'd heard just a dream? She didn't hear again, and lay back in bed. But right as she was about to drop off to sleep, she heard it again. This time, she woke her twin brother Josh.
"Josh, I heard something downstairs!" She told him in a rushed whisper.
He nodded and grabbed his baseball bat. He and Annie slowly descended the staircase. The thing made a sound, one that proved it was VERY close. Fright held the twins still.
Annie mouthed, "What is it?" Josh shrugged.
Finally, they decided it was safe and they searched their house. They found no sign of it. Annie then raced upstairs and practically leaped into the inviting bed. She waited for Josh to come, but he didn't. She glanced at the clock. 3:27. She sighed, and tiptoed downstairs to find her brother holding a small, sleeping red dragon. In a moment, another dragon came out. It was the same size, but green. It yawned, crawled into her lap and curled up. It slept, purring.
Suddenly Annie awoke from the strange dream and gasped. There, in her lap, was a hungry, purring, green dragon.

Christmas Already?
On Friday, we went to get Nana's Christmas tree. It was only 2 days till Mom's birthday, so she got to choose lunch.
Anyway, so this year it was one of the shortest years for finding a Christmas tree. We marked two, then found the one we really wanted. I sawed it down, just like last year. Then Creator's Son and I raced ducks, and I won every time but once.
Then it was time for lunch and we ate at O.S.T, and I ate Jell-O and ribs. Then we went to some gift shop type stores and I got the most awesome horse shirt ever.
On the way home, the best thing happened. There were horses grazing along the side of the road in a pen, and they were close enough we could get out and pet them. One little guy, a Shetland paint, I almost pet, but he was afraid of the flash on Nana's camera, so I didn't quite get to, but he sure was cute.
I almost gave up on petting one of the others, all of which were normal sized, when a pretty white one with its mane braided came over. I got to pet it a little bit on its head, but it too soon wandered away. Then a beautiful chocolate colored one came over. He was really pretty and sweet. I think he is a Morgan, but I don't know for certain. He let me pet him all over, and then we had these candy canes that were about an inch long, and we gave him a piece out of one. He loved it! He was so sweet and I hated to leave, but he then began to go off to play with his friends. I was glad to meet him, and I call him Flash.

Home School Moms: We're Not Perfect Either
Long title, I know. But it has a meaning.
On Tuesday when we headed out to the Park, Mom shut the door which I had, as usual, locked. We got to the car without a key into the house, a phone, a car key, nothing. So Mom locked us out of the house. The back door? Locked also. The windows we can't open, because they lock when closed. We hadn't made an extra key, even though we had done this at the Hunt house when we were supposed to be Co-op early.
So Mom got the phone number for where our land lord works ( yes, we rent), and we walked over to the EWA ( place next door) to ask to use their phone. Well, right before we went in, a truck that looked like our land lord's pulled in.
I ran over, shouting, and caught her attention. "Hey, um, it appears we locked ourselves out of the house."
So, she had an extra key that we got in with, and we didn't get to the Park any later than planned.
So Home School Moms, we're not perfect either.

At the Top
In my friend Mustang's blog, she told what she did in her free time. Well, I don't have horses to play with or a creek to play in, but I have trees. Outside, facing the road that runs past our house, I have a tree that I love to climb. Some of my friends say it is hard, but once I give them the only instruction I can, they can usually scurry up as fast as me.
Weird as it may sound, my cat taught me how to climb this tree. One day while I looked longingly around for something to do, I saw him fairly jump onto the tree and spread his legs out and climb up. I tried using two foot holds I saw, and, spreading my arms around the tree and getting to my feet, I almost fell and had to jump down. I wondered if this tree was unconquerable.
Every time I was outside alone, the cat would climb up. Finally, I found his secret. I felt I had to try climbing up it again. I tried, and this time succeeded with ease. It is now a place I love to be in.
My one instruction to friends who struggle to climb the tree is... Use your fingers like claws, gripping the bark on the side of it.
The day I conquered that tree, I knew it would be a tree I climbed almost every time I could.
A lot of times I come in from outside alone, I can say "I climbed to new heights in my tree." I have so many spots to play in, or sit in. I even have one branch where, when positioned perfectly, I am hidden from view from the ground but I can see them.
The view from one particular spot in my tree is so worth any pain it takes to get there. I have one place in my tree where I don't have to hold on, yet I worry not about falling. The trunk of the tree makes a perfect holding place where I can dangle my arms and legs straight down.
Once in my tree, waiting for Mustang to get to my house when they had car troubles in the cold, freezing weather, I bundled myself up and got in my tree with a book. I read in the most comfortable position in my entire tree, not one bit cold.
Another time, the first time Mustang ever climbed my tree, we ate lunch in my tree.
Yet another time, I, with Mustang AGAIN, was feeling daring, and climbed into the spot with an awesome view, and promptly got stuck. I almost killed myself ( not seriously) getting down, but finally did so.
I even had planned an entire Spring Break around my tree. I had a great Spring Break.
So I love this tree, and have lots of things to do in my tree. I even have plans for... But that is a different post.

Bailey, you are Crazy!
On Thanksgiving day, I went out to our Ranch to spend two nights with my cousin and Grandparents. On the first morning, I got a call from Mom saying " I am about to go pick Bailey up. We will have her till Monday."
So when I got home on Saturday, I knew I didn't have long with Bailey, and Mustang and her family were coming over. So I sat in the floor and brushed Bailey, and loved on Bailey, and played with Bailey. Then Mustang got there and Bailey hid. We went on with our business, and soon Bailey, we called her Tiger, was in the middle of it all.
But that night was a different story than 'sweet, little, innocent.' I slept fine till about 6am. Then I heard THUDDA- THUDDA-THUDDA mew. Squeak squeak squeak ( Her running, mewing and playing with squeaky mouse.) This repeated over and over, until Mom came and shut my bedroom door. I finally got back to sleep.
Sunday, we got the morning and afternoon with that cat of Nana's. I brushed Bailey and petted Bailey. Then I got in my skirt ( and how Bailey loved THAT!) and in about an hour, we left for Church. Then we ate lunch and came home. Bailey was a bundle of PLAYPLAYPLAYPLAY when we got home. But by 6pm, I every ten minutes would run into wherever she was sleeping calling "Baileybaileybaileybailey!" and rummaging around, flipping the light on, whatever I could to wake her up.
And this morning, I had to give her up. By 9:30, Bailey was content at home.

I Won!
Yesterday, we got to go to Mustang's house. I referred to her as Carl in my last post. I got to ride her chocolate paint, named Trixie.
We walked the barrels, and with Mustang leading her, we had... entertainment.
"Trixie bolts off from the starting line, headed toward the first barrel!" - We are slowly crawling along at snail speed.
"She swings closely around the barrel, not losing speed!" - We are three feet from the barrel, still crawling S-L-O-W-L-Y along. This continues through all the barrels, and when we get to the last one, Mustang says "Trixie, if you wouldn't mind helping here, we would like that a lot."
On the last barrel, headed toward home, we kicked Trixie up to a...... TROT "Trixie uses a burst off speed, not seen before! She gallops top speed toward the finish line, and crosses the finish line! SHE WON!" As we managed to make the barrels in, oh, bout TEN MINUTES. So we won.
I also met Gypsy, her light dappled palomino Quarter horse. For anyone NOT a horse person, a golden horse with small, light spots, and she is a common breed.

The Years Fly By
I turned 10 on Saturday. It was THE BEST birthday EVER.
I was awoken (nearly had a heart attack, may I add) to my family singing Happy Birthday. I got up, and opened presents. From Mom I got a horse weekly calendar book thing, from Dad a Swiss Army knife (!), from BOTH of them I got a dolphin watch, from Creator's Son I got two Scliech (Germany horse model brand name) horses, a stallion and a foal, and from my grandparents I got : The awesomest jacket ever, black jeans, a buckskin Scliech stallion, a white mare, and a foal laying down. So my presents were awesome.
For breakfast I got BANANA PANCAKES! Then I rushed to get dressed( In my black jeans and new jacket, no less) and off to EYH ( Expanding Your Horizons) My best friend, Cousin Carl, was there and so was a friend I met a couple years ago.
We had 'Speakers'. Cousin Carl and I went to a Physical Therapist and a Vet. It was really intresting. Then Carl and I headed to Starry Night. It was really cool to know more about the stars. You got to see constellations, their names, and all that.
Then we went to lunch, a hamburger and some ice cream. Then Carl and I split ways, and Cousin Ned, my other friend, and I went to CSI. There, we examined a murder and found out the culprit. It was pretty cool. We learned a game called Pogo and one called Black Magic.
Then Cousin Ned and I walked to the Weir Building together and parted ways. I was in Computer Generated Art. It was so cool and fun. You learned to change the colors of pictures and play with fraktals. It was SO much fun. When I was done there, I headed back to the main building. I saw Carl sitting on the ground and ran over to her. "Steve!" She yelled. "Carl!" I replied. The moms were there to pick us up, and I showed Carl my new horses. Then I got some AWESOME books from Nana.

Even though I'm almost 10..
My 9th birthday was one of my best. We went to a violin lesson early (Though I really did NOT want to!), then came home to prepare for my party. We had 4 hrs, but Mom was going crazy! Anyway, finally people started getting there.
Once we were ready to play a game, I told Creator's Son "Go tell Mom we're going to play puffle round up now" I said. HR started saying "Puffles? Puffles? Eeekers? Squeak?"
"How do ya play that?" Every one else asked. Silence. "Eeekers?" HR repeated.
Everyone loved my "Goofiness Game" and once we were done with games we ate cake.
Then, we got on CP, and...... I MET SENSEI!!!!! I was letting one of my friends dress my penguin, when I got a stamp that read 'Sensei'. I asked with growing excitement, "Why did I just get a stamp called Sensei?" I ran to the 'Ninja Hideout', and there he was!
It was an awesome birthday.. Even though I'm 2 days to 10!

A Typical School Day
A typical school day for us goes about like this: My alarm clock blaring loudly in my ear, then me turning it off and, half asleep still, stumble into then living room and flop down on the couch. A few minutes later, the brother appears and grumbles "Good Morning" loudly. He lays on the couch and is snoring within minutes. Mom asks what we want for breakfast, and the usual answer is malt-o-meal and/or taquito. After we eat and do our Parallel Gospels, I get dressed and make my bed. Then I go out and feed the cat and dog. I brush my hair and give a push to the day with violin. Our schedule starts with violin, then Wordly Wise, Daily Grams and Journal, Poems, History and Science, lunch (Creator's Son's favorite subject) then Greek, reading and math, spelling, and Logic or Critical Thinking.

Last Co-op
Today was the last day of Co-op, and was a very long day.
It started with getting woken up by the storm that blew through(hallelujah!) at 5:45. Then at 6:30, our normal Co-op day alarm, I was wide awake. Then a LONG breakfast, rushing to get dressed and chores done. The cat, I know, can go under house, and since it was pouring, assumed he had. I got his food ready and saw him under the house. I couldn't get his food bowl through the place he gets through, so I set it in front of his hidy- hole and waited to see if he'd eat it. He stuck his head out of the hole, and ate a bite. Then he pulled his head back in like he was in pain, and meowing like " I'm starving, in pain, and dying", so I was slightly worried. I tried everything I could, but he wouldn't eat it. So I came in and asked Mom what to do. She said dump his food in with him. I did so, and the cat was happy. I was soaked. And all the while the dog is going crazy, wondering what was taking me so long.
We had gotten ready for Co-op the night before, so we were ready. I was worried about having to do a skit and sing the dumbest song in the world. We got there and started moving tables. In Mom's class, we were talking about Jeremiah the prophet. Mom was saying " Jeremiah was interesting. He was-" When I cut her off and said" A bullfrog!" Everyone in the room burst out laughing, and then one of my friends and I spontaneously and unanimously started singing 'Jeremiah was a Bullfrog'. It was pretty funny.
In my next class, Government 101, we went through our skit twice and moved several things downstairs. Then our teacher told us " Stay in the room, be quiet, but do what you feel like." So I played on my violin and moved about restlessly. Finally, it was time to go to Human Body, the only thing besides lunch standing between me and... the dreaded song.
In human body, we were given some books with our pictures on the front. They held our quizzes and information from the past 9 weeks. We took those down to the gym with our body posters. We took the final two quizzes ( I got hundreds on every quiz) and played with play dough. I made a really cool horse, and by the time I was finished, it was time to squish it and go eat. I helped my best friend with name tag boxes and what not. Then we ate a lunch that seemed to last hours, but couldn't have been shorter.
Soon it was time for presentations. The song was drawing near. My first class was mentioned, but we only had a table in the back. The next few presentations were pretty cool. I groaned and winced when she said beginning the 11:00 o' clock hour. Even nearer was the song. In one class, Presenters Kit, we watched some funny clips of what happened in class. But not long after came...... THE SONG!
We were called up. my heart thumped. I couldn't imagine how dumb we would sound. Our assistant was on the floor showing us the motions. We got up there and I was laughing. When our teacher said "We will astound and amaze you in less than 30 seconds!" I laughed harder and put my hand on my forehead. I tried to sing. I really, really did. But I was laughing to hard. I managed to get some of it, but I was laughing so hard I was crying. I don't really know what was so funny.
And last but not least was our skit. Our narrator messed up a line, but I'm sure no one heard it. We did really good. I played my violin well, and everyone sang along on the first verse. Almost no one knew the fourth, but we pressed through. It went well.
Afterwords, while Mom helped clean up, I played tag and ultimate tag. It was fun. When we left Co-op for the last time till February, I begged out of a violin lesson. I mean, I had enough stuff to practice anyway, right?

Testing, testing: Is this thing still on?
I didn't forget I have a blog. Not really. Well, kinda maybe a little bit. OK, so I did. But now that Creator's Son( also referred to as Playtoy) is getting on his own blog, I have uh...... remembered my blog. I could make up a million reasons for not blogging ( which by the way, is more years than the Earth is old) but the simple truth is either a) I forgot or b) I meant to but couldn't find time and forgot. Notice that both reasons include me forgetting.... Anyway, I am starting to get into this blog thing and will probably be doing posts weekly. To start out, I have a blurb from Bailey the cat's journal.
Also, my Mom, who does Rockcastle Blessings, was off with some of her crazy friends to a boot camp. She calls it leadership training, but hey, same thing, right? They were gone ALL weekend. I missed Mom a lot, but today we finally rescued her! Or she came home and rescued me, one or the other. So, get ready to have a window into my life.
" Day 457 of Capture: Today the strange hoomin creatures that Feeder/Crazy-Lady calls "Icepooka* and "Creator's Son* " came to stay for a few hours. The hoomin called Icepooka tried playing with me again. When will she learn? Anyway, when they came home, the Icepooka smelled like other cats! I smelled the place I came from. And I may have smelled some nasty thing hoomins call 'hand sanitizer'. IT SMELLS TERRIBLE! I nearly choked.* Substitute for real names

PONY
I am a member of a horse book club. Every month, I get horse books, comics, magazines, accessories, and more. They have a website, and for me it is horse heaven. Or was.
I got informed by going on their site toward the end of August that on the last day in Sept, they were closing. I read it about five times, and wanted to cry. I called Nana, my supplier/ loyal grandmother and we figured out that I hadn't gotten my August package. Now fast forward a 3 weeks. I just got my August package ( when I should get my Sept package soon..) and I am heartbroken.
In a few days, I should get my last PONY package ever. And to add to all THAT, we had a fire at our ranch near Juction.
Ahh, the good life,eh?

Here I come!!
Lot's of reasons to post... I think. Before school starts, we are going to New Mexico to visit Mom's sister, Grandma Mary, Carlsbad Caverns, and we're taking my brother to Roswell.. And leaving him to associate with his own kind.
If you remember in my first post (a million years ago) I mentioned Club Penguin, an online game. They off and on, every month have different parties. Well, they just started an adventure party. a famous Pirate Penguin comes to visit, and the island turns into dense jungle and bamboo huts. You can get outlandish Pirate clothes from the newest catalog, or pick up some free shipwrecked clothes for your penguin avatar.
School starts again in a few weeks, and, most kids don't want school to start, but I can't wait to get back to having more or less of a schedule!
Other than that, picture a serene moment, a child cuddling with her mother. Then picture that same child playing quietly. Now, the quiet music screeches to a halt. Now picture a talkitive child walking sleepily into the room mumbling. Then picture the child playing online. Add the two sets together and you have........ Miou!

My Quest
I know, I know. I have done a lot of things I should blog about. Bailey, Camping, End of School and so on. But this is most recent.
I went to Bandera to see some horses one of Nana's friends has. They were Quest and Bear. Well Quest's family is going to Montana for the Summer, and leaving him behind.
I got to groom Quest. He had more fun trying to eat the brush! I love him and Bear.
She led him out of his stall, over to a trailer. She went in saying, "Now where is his saddle?" You bet I heard that 'S' word! She came out with a saddle and saddle blanket and put them on Quest. Then she got his bridle.
I got to ride! Even though Quest is very stubborn, he is fun to ride. He wouldn't move unless there was someone in front of him, leading him. It got very tiring. Finally, it was Nana's turn to make him move, and he wanted to trot. He wanted to so bad, he did. He started trotting, so Nana had to run to keep up with him. It was fun! (for me) I loved it.
And the best part is I have been invited to go back in the Fall to ride, so he will get used to being ridden. Woo!
I also got a hot pink bridle for my future horse. I got to feed Quest and Bear carrots. They were so silly!
